Jim began working on nonlinear video editing systems in 1994. He's an Avid certified instructor and teaches Avid's Master Class in motion picture editing, animation, effects and color correction.

Jimmy Lingg is a certified trainer of Apple Professional Products. He has FCP user certification and teaches an Apple Authorized training course in Final Cut Pro at The Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts in Baltimore, MD.

"Circles" in 2005

Students at the Sheffield Institute shot this video in studio D back in the spring of 2005. The guys in the band were still in high school at the time. The project was archived and sat on a shef for two years while the band continued to succeed. In summer 2007, the video was uploaded to Youtube and became instant old school ATL.

Jim has worked on a few feature film projects, primarily in post production sound. He's also cut a few movies and shorts. Every once in a while, he'll even build an animated title sequence.
